We are all accustomed to the fact that the protective glass protects the phone screen from scratches, other mechanical damage and shock. It evenly redistributes the load over the entire surface in order to weaken it as much as possible. Therefore, because of the tight fit, quickly removing the protection is a real challenge. We will tell you how it is easier to do this and what available tools will help you!
1. Silicone suction cups
The glass on the phone is not held by glue, because electrostatic attraction takes effect. Essentially, this is the same principle that electrified fabric attracts all dust and debris. Moreover, the adhesion between smooth, flat surfaces is stronger than the double-sided adhesive tape on which the sensor module is held.
If the edge of the protective glass has already begun to recede, then a regular silicone suction cup is enough for you. Glue it to this corner so that a vacuum forms inside, and it sticks tightly to the surface. And then start pulling gently, but not too sharply and hard, so as not to tear off the screen instead of glass.
2. Plastic card
Do not pry on the protective glass with your fingernail or especially with a knife blade. At best, you won't succeed, and at worst, you ruin your phone display. Pry the protection with an old bank card in one corner and slide the plastic around the entire perimeter, gradually moving towards the center. If the card is too thick, it can be sharpened with a nail file or file.
The good thing about plastic cards is that they are large enough to remove the full width of the protective glass. Otherwise, due to the point impact, there is a risk that the protection will crack and scratch the screen. Always choose the most complete corner so as not to accidentally shove small debris into the depths.
3. Blister pack of pills
If you can't pry off the protective glass on your phone with a card and it seems that it is too thick - take a plate of any tablets. It's thin and stiff enough, and the rounded corners won't scratch the screen while you're trying to remove the protection.
4. Mediator
Use a pick in the same way as a plastic card. It's thin and slightly pointed, but not too stiff or hard - perfect for removing protective glass from your phone. To simplify the task, take two picks at once: raise the first corner with one, and move along the perimeter with the second.
5. Thread or fishing line
You will need strong thread, fishing line, or dental floss. Hold the phone with your hands on both sides so that it does not fidget in place. Use your index fingers to pull the thread so tightly until you have enough strength, and gently grip the corner with it.
When removing a broken protective glass, start from the whole edge so that small fragments do not scratch the display. Gradually move further along the entire surface of the screen, moving the thread left and right, as if you were sawing. You need to bring it first to the second corner, and then in a straight line down.
6. How to remove broken glass?
If the protective glass on the phone has gone with small cracks across the entire plane, then you will have to remove it in stages. First, remove the largest fragments, and then carefully pry on the smallest fragments. Use only soft tools such as plastic scrapers or cards. Never try to remove the shards by simply pulling them to the edge - this is a sure way to scratch!
