Paint the jar with white acrylic paint or mix gouache with PVA so that it covers the glass tightly. If the brush leaves bald spots, take a kitchen sponge and paint with light patting movements. While everything is dry, cut out patterns and drawings from beautiful napkins, separate the top layer and smear it with PVA.
Glue the designs onto the jar, cover again with glue on top and smooth well with a brush or fingers so that there are no wrinkles and air bubbles. Then you can finish painting individual details, add sparkles and other decorations, draw patterns through a stencil. When you're done, cover the jars with another layer of PVA and wait at least a day for them to dry completely, then you can proudly present to your mom!
