Powdery mildew, all kinds of spots, silvery scab, late blight, peronosporosis and other types of fungal diseases are ruthlessly destroying the planting of cultivated plants. This problem is especially acute for agrarians and summer residents due to weather anomalies that have been observed in recent years. But the problem has a solution - Quadris fungicide. Let's tell you more!
Benefits of a fungicide
Fungicide Quadris is a unique drug that was developed specifically to combat a number of fungal diseases of vegetables, grapes and sports lawns. The active ingredient is azoxystrobin, the effectiveness of which is several times higher than that of other chemicals on the market today.
Quadris destroys not only the mushrooms themselves, but also their spores. But at the same time, this substance does not harm the environment and treated plants in any way, and their fruits 5-7 days after application of the drug become safe for humans.
Quadris is widely used as a preventive, curative and eradication action against diseases caused by the four most common types of fungi - Oomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Ascomycetes, Deuteromycetes. When used correctly in accordance with the instructions, the spores of these fungal pathogens can be completely eradicated on the site, providing long-term and sustainable protection for future plantings.
In addition to the therapeutic effect, the use of this drug activates photosynthesis in the leaves, increases the level of moisture absorption by plants, which helps to significantly increase yields and improve the quality of fruits. After using the fungicide Quadris, vegetables and grapes are stored much longer, since they do not rot.
The principle of the drug
Quadris is most effective during the early stages of development of fungal and some bacterial plant diseases. If the situation is severely neglected, then this fungicide should be used together with Ridomil Gold, Topaz, Skor and others.
The active ingredient of Quadris destroys the genome of fungi and pathogenic bacteria, which guarantees a positive effect for farmers. Fungicide is able to penetrate not only the leaves and stems of plants, thereby providing a healing effect. It is also used to decontaminate planting material by destroying pathogens inside the seeds.
Due to the fact that Quadris is a relatively safe drug, experts recommend using it in preventive measures. To do this, young plantings of tomatoes, onions, cabbage, cucumbers, hops, potatoes, as well as vineyards and lawns are treated with a fungicide solution, without waiting for the first signs of plant damage.
Recommendations for the use of Quadris
Systemic fungicide Quadris is sold as a concentrated suspension that must be dissolved in water. The consumption of the drug is very economical. Working solution: maximum 0.1% for grapes or 0.2% for vegetable crops.
The sprayer reservoir should first be filled to a quarter of its volume with water, then add the required amount of Quadris and mix thoroughly. Only then add the remaining water and mix again. The solution remains effective for a day.
The resulting liquid must be treated with the planting. To do this, use a spray gun or other special equipment for ground spraying of vegetables, shrubs and trees. In order to achieve the maximum effect, the manufacturer recommends two or three treatments during one season.
Dosage and consumption
To process vegetable crops, you will need to prepare a 0.1 percent fungicide solution. To do this, dilute 1 g of the drug with 1 liter of pure water.
To treat hops, tomatoes and cucumbers from various types of fungal infections, you will need to carry out 2 treatments. For potatoes, onions and vegetable peas - 3, and for cabbage, it is enough to spray the ground parts of the plants 1 time. A week after the last application of the Quadris fungicide solution, harvesting can begin.
To treat vineyards from gray rot, infectious drying, mildew, oidium and black spot, you will need to dissolve 2 g of Quadris in 1 liter of water. The number of treatments is 3, while the latter should be carried out no later than 25 days before harvesting.
Important caveats
The active substance of the drug can settle to the bottom of the reservoir in which it is located. To avoid getting too concentrated liquid on the plants or, conversely, insufficiently active, it is necessary to stir or shake the solution in the tank from time to time.
Plants are treated with the smallest spray, since Quadris is effective in combating fungi and bacteria that affect plantings in minimal doses. For this reason, there is no need to water the leaves and stems too abundantly with the solution of this fungicide.
It is important to emphasize that Quadris cannot be applied on the same site at the same time as herbicides. In addition, the drug can be phytotoxic (reduces resistance to sunlight, which leads to burns) for some varieties of apple trees, so if you use one sprayer for a garden, vineyard and vegetable plantings, then the tank and all parts should be washed very well.
Prepare a solution of the fungicide in small volumes, this will allow the preparation to be consumed economically and without residue. If there is still some solution left, pour it out in a remote location where there are no sources of water nearby. Then pour more water into the sprayer tank, rinse well and pour in the same place. Repeat the procedure a few more times.
