Your beloved pet probably needs its own place in the house - a small and cozy bed where you can warm up and hide. In search of a comfortable corner, cats go around upholstered furniture, wardrobes and the most unexpected places in the apartment. But it is much better and easier when a pet has a place of her own, carefully and lovingly made with her own hands. Moreover, it is not difficult at all!
1. A bed made of an old blanket or pillow
If you have old unnecessary bedding with safe filler, you can make the simplest and fastest bed for a cat out of them. Fold the blanket in several layers or redistribute the filler in the pillow to soften the middle and the sides higher. And sew a few stitches around the perimeter to secure the result, in a quilting manner. It is advisable to choose synthetics so that the stove bench can be easily washed without unnecessary effort.
2. A bed of newspaper tubes
If your pet loves baskets, and you like to experiment with your own hands - combine it. Weaving a real basket for your cat from old newspapers and waste paper will not be difficult. Roll up dense tubes from the sheets and assemble a snowflake frame from them on a dense cardboard bottom. And then braid it with a lattice around the perimeter until the walls are of the desired height.
Once you get the hang of the process, you can try different shapes and configurations. Fixing the entire structure and edges is as easy as shelling pears - ordinary PVA glue is enough. And when weaving, insert the ends of the tubes into each other - this way you will be able to avoid joints and weak connections. Such a couch can be painted with hypoallergenic food dyes, decorated with a cloth, and toys can be attached to it.
3. Lounger with sides
This is another simple option that does not require any special sewing skills. You will need a dense and unpretentious fabric, synthetic filling and only two parts. To strengthen the bottom, cut it out of thick or corrugated cardboard, and calculate the side according to the required height and add a few centimeters of length.
Stitch the long sides of the rim, turn it to the right side and fill it with a long rectangle of foam rubber or a thin layer of filler. You can sew the edges by hand - it will be neater and more invisible. After that, sew the side to the bottom already covered with fabric and put the pillow inside the size.
4. Suspended bed
The couches suspended from the ceiling or a hook in the wall look interesting and unusual: such a swing delights most furry friends. Determine how many tiers you want, and sew several mattresses of the same or different sizes under them. Connect them together with wide ribbons of dense, durable fabric, gathered from the top into a loop for hanging. Or build a semblance of an Indian house and use several rings of different diameters - for example, a hoop for needlework.

5. Bed from an old suitcase
If you have an unnecessary suitcase or a hard bag of a similar shape, you can make a beautiful and cozy couch out of it in just 15 minutes. Take off or trim off the top, place a pillow inside, and a luxurious pet bed is ready. Even a large cat can easily fit into a suitcase, only a thinner pillow is needed.
The structure is easy to modernize: screw the legs to it or glue them on construction glue. The top tier can be made from the cover by collecting a support from old boards under it. Even a pillow or mattress can be easily sewn from any natural fabric and a piece of foam rubber.
6. Knitted round bed
If you have unnecessary sweaters, but you have free time, you can put them on the bed-cheesecake for the cat. You don't even have to knit everything yourself: the basic scope of work is already ready.Cut off the collar of the sweater, sew the neck with a strong thread and lay a line above the chest across the width of the sleeve - these are the future sides of the bed.
Fill the sleeves and the resulting hole with holofiber or padding polyester in a circle, monitoring the uniform distribution of the filler. To reinforce the bottom, cut the shape out of heavy cardboard or thin plywood. It will be more comfortable for the cat to lay inside an even thin layer of filler or an old towel.
Sew all the edges and then loop the tightly padded sleeves around the bottom to create an impromptu cheesecake. Make sure that there are no sloppy folds and seals anywhere. You can sew all the details directly on a typewriter or even by hand with a strong nylon or silk thread.
7. Bed-sofa for a cat
If your furry pet has long chosen sofas and armchairs, you can make her your sofa in miniature. To do this, you only need fabric, foam rubber and polystyrene with a simple set of tools. Cut the foam sheets into several blocks, from which you can assemble an impromptu sofa in the size of a cat.
Glue all the elements together, put foam cushions on top and cover with fabric. If you want to disassemble and wash the bed from time to time, sew a cover with a zipper or ties - then it will be easy to remove. At the same time, you can change the foam padding as needed.

8. Bed on the battery
It's no secret that cats are constantly looking for shelter in the warmth, and especially in winter, when they attach themselves under the battery or on it. To make your pet more comfortable, softer and warmer, you can make a small hanging lounger. For example, from cutting a PVC pipe of a sufficiently large diameter, and from several hooks for hanging.
To make the lounger beautiful on the outside and comfortable on the inside, sheathe the plastic with a soft cloth with a thin layer of foam rubber or other filler. Keep in mind that the pipe is smooth and slippery, so it is better to imperceptibly fix the edges inside with construction glue. Make sure that the filler does not get confused, otherwise the cat will be uncomfortable.
If you want to remove and wash the upholstery, attach it with Velcro. The fabric does not have to be specially purchased: old towels, bathrobes, an unnecessary blanket, whatever will do. 9. Lounger on the windowsill
To do this, you will need a sheet of plywood, a regular decorative pillow or foam rubber with a cut of fabric and corner supports for wall shelves. Place the frame in a pillow or cover it with foam rubber and a soft cloth or fur, put the entire structure on one side of the window sill. And from below - fasten or glue the support corners. You can even make a folding couch - on the same principle as folding tables are made on balconies or small kitchens.
10. Lounger hammock
The hammock is convenient in that it lets air through from below, and the cat will always be comfortable. Fasteners can be very different: from two hooks or supports to a rectangular frame made of metal rods or wood. Choose the size of the frame taking into account the size of your pet, but take the fabric for the hammock with a margin so that it lies freely.

11. "Royal" bed
If you want to give your cat a real royal bed or make a bed that will fit into the most complex classic interior, you will need an old table or a stool with legs. Thoroughly sand and paint the furniture in the desired color, use wooden decorations and varnish the structure.
