DIY Easter crafts: 8 bright ideas

Easter is a special family holiday with a rich history and unique atmosphere. It is celebrated even by people far from the church, because you don't want to give up fun outdoor activities and colorful eggs. It's also a great reason to make a lot of interesting crafts! Here are some ideas!

1. Felt jewelry

If you have colorful felt, ribbons, laces, beads and small decorations - make small eggs for gifts. Felt is good because it is dense, voluminous and its edges do not crumble. Cut out all the details, sew them together and close the seam with tape.

Emboss your holiday greetings and decorate the craft with rhinestones and buttons. You can sew two such halves, put a little padding polyester inside and glue a magnet, sew on a ring for a keychain or insert a stick-skewer.

2. Watercolor eggs

To make beautiful colors with an abstract watercolor pattern, you will need a container of water and a few jars of nail polish. Dip a couple of different flowers into the water and dilute with a regular wooden stick. Don't mix colors, just paint patterns like on a cappuccino froth. After that, dip the eggs evenly in this water and dry them on a stand of pins so that they do not touch the table.

3. Easter garland

From thick paper or the same felt, you can cut a bright festive garland in the form of eggs or cute bunnies. Make a blank out of cardboard and transfer it to fabric or colored sheets. Decorate crafts with applique, flowers, beads and other beautiful little things. It remains to string all the figures on a ribbon, braid or tight cord.

4. Bunnies from eggs

To make funny colorful bunnies, you will need an empty shell, durable felt, ribbons and markers. Use an awl or a thick needle to make two small holes in the egg: about 2 mm above and 5 mm below. Carefully blow out the egg white and yolk, rinse the shell and let it dry.

Cut out large details for the ears from white felt, and smaller elements for the inner side from colored felt. Make legs from thicker felt or from cardboard to match so that the egg stands on the table. Glue everything on a glue gun, draw a muzzle with a felt-tip pen and tie a bow.

5. Children's postcard

To make a simple and beautiful postcard with a child, you need colored cardboard and paper, tape, scissors and glue. Choose a cardboard sheet for the background, and cut out grass with leaves from green paper. Cut two identical eggs out of white and yellow paper, and then cut the yellow obliquely.

Decorate the cut with a special stamp, cut out the ornament by hand, draw it or glue the lace. Put all the blanks on top of each other, glue to the base and decorate with a ribbon with a bow. Cut flowers and butterflies out of colored paper, make a signature and decorate a postcard.

6. Easter wreath

To make a beautiful Easter wreath, you will need willow twigs, wire, lightweight styrofoam eggs, and decor. Twist the branches into a tight ring with a diameter of about 30 cm and fasten it with a thin inconspicuous wire. Decorate the base with ribbons, artificial flowers, bows, beads and eggs decorated in the same style.

7. Funny pom-pom chickens

You need a yellow thread for knitting, red cardboard for the beak and legs, a bead or an eye. Cut two circles out of cardboard around the diameter of the future chicken. Cut the smaller circles inside and match the washers so that they completely match.

Wrap the workpiece with thread, as in the picture, until it stops going through the hole. The thicker the winding, the more magnificent the finished pompom will be. With small sharp scissors, cut the thread right along the ring, pull it in the middle between the washers with its own trim and remove the cardboard.

Spread the pompom with your hands and trim, make a muzzle, and glue flat support legs from below. You can make another smaller pompom for the chicken's head, or leave it that way. If you want thin legs, use wire to keep them in shape and the chicken really stands.

8. Plate-bunny

The Easter feast will be more fun if you decorate the dishes especially for the holiday. To do this, you only need thick paper, a few clothespins and a couple of felt-tip pens. Cut out a long-eared muzzle and four bunny legs from the album sheet.

Attach all the parts to the clothespins, which you will then pinch on the plate. Glue the eyes with the nose, paint the muzzle and, if desired, paint the ears. This decoration has one big plus - you don't have to stain the dishes with paints or glue.
