Crochet for beginners: 6 easy patterns

Having mastered just a few simple techniques for beginners, you can create beautiful and useful things with your own hands, and we will help!

1. Crochet heart

Any thread and a hook of a suitable diameter will suit you. Thick fluffy threads, plush, melange or terry balls look interesting - so the heart will also be textured. To make it tight and even, take the hook one less than the recommended size.

Wrap the end of the thread in a ring around your finger, pull through the hook and knit 3 air loops. Knit 3 double crochet and 3 single crochet straight into the ring. Make a chain loop, another double crochet, a second chain, 3 single crochet and 3 double crochet. Make 2 chain stitches, a regular post, close the piece and tighten the base loop.

2. Small flower

Take woolen yarn and a thin hook 1.25-1.5 mm so that the flowers are dense and elastic. Wrap the ring around your finger, pull out the hook and knit a slip loop. For the petal, cast on 5 air loops and knit a regular column into the ring for fastening - and so on 5 times. Gently hold the petals with your fingers and tighten the ring tight.

Knit a connecting post into the first loop of the next petal. Go up, knit a column, then a half-column, then 3 columns with a crochet, again a half-column and a simple column. In the same order, starting from the single crochet, tie all the other petals.

3. Basic pattern "Grandma's square"

This knitted pattern is equally good for napkins, scarves, clothing, or any other piece of clothing. Make 5 stitches and ring with a connecting post. Make 3 stitches, yarn over and knit a column with it through the ring, and then again.

Cast on two stitches and knit 3 more double crochets into the ring. Repeat this twice to complete the circle, and close it in a third free loop. For each next row, first make 3 connecting posts, and in the fourth loop repeat the pattern in a circle.

4. Double-sided ribbon lace

You will need 8 loops of thin cotton thread, looped with a double crochet. Make 4 stitches, unfold the workpiece and stretch 5 double crochets under the chain. Cast on a new chain of 4 stitches and work into the previous column with 2 yarns. Knit the second segment in the same way, and continue with this algorithm. When you're done, steam the ribbon to straighten it out if it twists while knitting.

5. Mouse crochet

Even a beginner without experience can crochet a cute and simple mouse in half an hour. You will need any colored thread for the calf, pink for the ears, black for the antennae and synthetic winterizer for filling. Choose the hook to the size of your threads - usually 2-3 mm is enough.

Cast on 3 of the simplest air loops with the base yarn, and then knit 6 simple stitches into the first one at once. In all the loops of the previous row, knit 2 more single crochets each - you get 12 loops. In the next row, alternate one and two columns in a loop - and continue in the same spirit according to the scheme in the video.

In the process, towards the end, fill the body with padding polyester while it is still convenient. Knit the last row completely without any reductions, cut the thread and tighten a small hole with it. Tie the ponytail with regular air loops, securing the thread directly in the body.

Put the ears immediately on the mouse with yarns, and then again hide all the ends inside. To make a mustache, cut the black thread into three pieces and pull it through the nose.Tighten the threads three knots for volume and shorten the antennae to the desired length, and at the end you can embroider eyes or sew on beads.

6. Openwork napkin

Cast on 18 air loops with a thin thread and close it into a ring through the first loop using a connecting post. Cast on 3 lifting loops and knit 32 double crochets in a circle. To complete the circle, knit a connecting post into the third lifting loop.

Cast on 6 stitches, make a yarn over, insert the crochet through one stitch and knit a double crochet. Cast on 3 loops and crochet through the previous one. Continue to move in the same way to the end of the row and again close the circle with a connecting post in the third loop.

Cast on 7 stitches, make 2 yarns, and at the top of the crochet stitch, knit a double crochet stitch. Cast on 3 more loops, make 2 yarns and knit 4 unfinished columns with two into the arch - this is your main step. Tie all the stitches on the hook in a column and continue this way until the end of the circle.

Follow the same principle to do all the following circles until you get the correct diameter of the napkin. Make decorative loops around the edges using air loops and yarns. At the end, carefully hide the end of the thread in the loops and shorten.
