The New Year is getting closer - and it's high time to think about gifts. After all, you want to give your friends and family a little love and warmth, but are shop souvenirs able to convey them? We have some better suggestions!
1. Santa's candy sleigh
From year to year, more and more holiday candy sets are sold in stores, and they are becoming more commonplace. But even such a small pleasant surprise can be arranged much more interestingly. For example, put bars and candies in an impromptu sleigh and plant a chocolate Santa Claus for them!
2. Christmas tree made of tea
It is no secret that most tea lovers are not indifferent to large gift sets, because you can immediately try different tastes. But such a set can be presented much more interesting - make a Christmas tree out of it! All you need is a thick cardboard or foam cone, a barrel weight, a glue gun and jewelry of your choice!
3. New Year's rat made of beads
Weaving small rats from beads or large beads is not so difficult - even an older child can master it. You only need a fishing line with a thin needle or a special wire. The scheme is very simple, and the parallel weaving technique is available even for beginners - just make sure that the ends are the same on both sides of the center of the spout.
You can decorate a small Christmas tree, wreath or table with such figures, as well as distribute them to guests as small pleasant souvenirs. A beaded rat on a dense wire will make an excellent keychain that will protect the owner throughout 2020!
4. New Year's rat from pompons
2020 is the year of the rat, and of course we could not ignore it. Fluffy and soft toys made of pom-poms are a pleasant trifle for children and loved ones, which can then be hung directly on the tree. You don't even need any special tools, because the threads can be wound directly on your fingers!
Make two pom-poms of different sizes and densities - a head and a torso. Sew them together, attach the ears and make eyes with a spout out of black beads. Wire is fine for the paws and tail, and the old leftovers of fabric and lace will make great party clothes!
5. New Year's rat made of dough
The salt dough mouse is a great choice if you want to make a gift with your child, because children love sculpting. Make a regular salty dough: one and a half glasses of flour, a glass of salt, half a glass of water and three tablespoons of PVA. Knead it and roll it out with an ordinary rolling pin - and you're done, you can start creating! At the end, paint the mouse with acrylic paints and cover with wood varnish.
6. New Year felt rat
Soft and cozy felt is a godsend for all lovers of homemade toys. These adorable little rats can be placed on a table, hung on a Christmas tree or made into a keychain. For work, you only need fabric, filler, threads, needles and pins. Choose any pattern you like or draw it yourself!
7. Marble cup
A beautiful decorative cup with marble stains perfect for coffee or cocoa on cold winter evenings. You will need a disposable container, nail polish, coffee stick or toothpick, sponge, and acrylic clear polish.
Put some polish in a container of water and drip a little polish into it so that the stains spread on their own. Use a toothpick to shape the pattern as desired to spread the color more evenly. Dip the cup in the water in slow circular motions, then let it dry and cover with varnish.
8. New Year's bath bombs
In winter, everyone goes crazy for a warm bath with fragrant and bright bombs, and there is nothing easier than making them with your own hands. You will need 2 cups of baking soda, a glass of tartar, 1-2 tablespoons of olive or other oil for softness, food coloring, essential oils for fragrance, dried herbs, glitter, and any other decor.
Mix all the ingredients until you get a smooth, fluffy mass of the desired color. Sprinkle with water from a spray bottle several times, and do not be afraid if the mixture starts to fizz. Stir in lavender or some other herbs and fill in silicone ice or baking trays. The bombs will dry for 1-2 days, gradually gaining strength.
